What will we pierce at what age?

We understand this may feel like a lot, but we ask for a certified copy or original birth certificate because, unfortunately, we’ve had people attempt to use forged photocopies.

We’ve also seen situations where older siblings or other relatives try to pose as a parent or legal guardian.

Birth certificates help us verify legal guardianship, something that passports do not show. Passports also don’t list an address, so we can’t confirm that the minor lives with the adult accompanying them.

We know this can be frustrating, and we truly wish we could say yes to everyone. But nothing is worse than an upset parent, so we are very strict with these policies.

No exceptions will be madeplease don’t ask us to make one.
It’s just as hard for us to turn you away as it is for you to be turned away. We would always rather do the piercing — the right way

Why the Birth Certificate?
